Shortly after the tank had switched to the twilight of the actinic bulb, I glanced over and with consternation saw Calypso at the top of the sponge filter! While I appreciate him cleaning it, I wondered how he’d get down! He seemed to consider a drop to a nearby sprig of Halimeda (which is probably how he got up), and he went around the bottom of the sponge before ascending again.

Since all the Halimeda was at least an inch beyond his grasp I repositioned some of the sturdy sprigs, which he did grasp and swung himself down gracefully as his weight bent the strand down to the rock. I snapped off these phone pics and moblogged this for a bit of an up-to-the-minute reef update.
